Someone is leaving. Hand off what only they can manage.
FlowInherit finds the groups, Teams, apps, distribution lists and shared mailboxes a leaver owns in Microsoft 365, and passes each one to the right person without a dropped baton.
We are onboarding a small group of pilot organisations now. Scans and the tenant snapshot will always be free.
See who's left holding what
A scan lists everything only the leaver can manage, with the reason it matters. Choose who takes over, approve, and FlowInherit confirms each change before it moves on, then gives you a receipt for the ticket.

What a scan checks
The things that quietly break weeks after someone leaves, gathered from Entra, Teams and Exchange into one list. No PowerShell, no Graph Explorer, no tour of every admin centre.
- Microsoft 365 groups and Teams
- Which ones the leaver owns, and whether anyone who can still sign in is left to manage them.
- Security groups
- Owned groups that control access to apps, files and devices.
- App registrations
- Apps where the leaver is the only owner, so nobody can renew a secret or change a setting.
- Distribution lists
- Lists they own in Exchange, which the Microsoft 365 admin centre shows separately.
- Shared mailboxes
- Mailboxes they can open or send from, and whether anyone else still can.
- Licences
- Paid licences still assigned to them, and across the tenant to accounts that are already blocked.
The free tenant snapshot runs the same checks across everyone at once: what depends on a single person today, what has no owner at all, and which shared mailboxes nobody can open.
How a handover works
Scan the leaver
Search for the person and start a scan. It only reads, and it shows what they own separately from what they are just a member of.
Choose who takes over
Pick one new owner for everything, or a different person per item. The leaver's manager is suggested. You can also just remove the leaver.
Approve the handover
FlowInherit adds the new owner, checks Microsoft shows the change, then removes the leaver. If removing fails, the new owner is taken off again, so nothing is left half-done.
Keep the receipt
A PDF lists every change with the time it was confirmed. Attach it to the offboarding ticket.
Safe to give the helpdesk
Your applications team approves FlowInherit once. After that, helpdesk staff use it without new admin rights, and security can see everything it did.
How FlowInherit handles access and data- No new powers. Changes run with the signed-in person's own Microsoft permissions. Mailbox and list changes are only offered to people with an Exchange admin role.
- Nothing is deleted. FlowInherit changes owners and permissions. It never deletes a group, app, list or mailbox.
- One switch stops everything. Anyone can pause FlowInherit for the whole tenant; only a Global Administrator can resume it.
- Auditors can look, not touch. Give security an Auditor role to read every report and export the full audit log.
